Mirela & Justin's Engagement Session | Folly Field Beach Hilton Head Island, SC | Atlanta Destination Wedding Photographer

The beach is definitely one of the things I miss about living in Florida, at least even in Orlando it was only an hour and a half (or so) to get to Clearwater Beach or Cocoa Beach, but here in Atlanta it’s about double that to either head South to Panama City Beach or East to Hilton Head Island, Savannah, and Tybee Island! Justin’s parents live in Hilton Head Island now, so we planned to make the drive over to the beach one evening and capture some awesome images!

After hanging out around the subdivision, Mirela changed clothes and we headed over to Follyfield Beach at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. It’s kind of funny to think that I technically did this engagement shoot in another state, but HHI is right at the border with Georgia =P.

After taking some amazing photos along the beach, I brought out the lights a bit to showcase the driftwood that we found along the water.

We also started playing in the beach grass both with and without flash for a slightly different look.

We tried to write the wedding date in the sad, but the tide had other plans for us… =)

End of the night, no more light!

Thank you Mirela and Justin for a great time in Hilton Head Island! Also, a huge thank you to Justin’s Mom and Dad for cooking an awesome dinner for the three of us and having a nice meal before I headed back to Atlanta. Luckily Mirela and Justin could spend the night there and enjoy a relaxing weekend on the beach! I should also note that I have to give a huge thank you to our amazing bride Leslie for referring Mirela to us, I’m sure we’ll be seeing Mirela and Justin at Leslie’s wedding which is right around the corner!
