Normally the Valima is a bit more laid-back event, maybe because the newlyweds are nearing exhaustion from the previous two nonstop wedding days =). For S & A, after celebrating for two days in Atlanta at the Marriott Marquis, it was nice to have a bit of a break before the Valima a month later. We started the wedding day refreshed and it seems we took a disproportionate number of bride and groom portraits – and that was just fine by me! The remainder of the day was pretty “normal” for a Valima, though being in a different city than the Baraat/Nikkah, they went a bit above on the food and decorations for the large number of guests. I had an early morning flight the next day so I’m not sure my fellow passengers enjoyed me splurging on an extra helping of Indian cuisine for dinner, but everything was amazing!
Love the view of downtown Houston from the Hilton-Americas!!
As dinner was being served, what did we do? Take more bride and groom portraits 🙂
If you couldn’t tell… we’re trying to spell out “F” and “L” for FengLong with our hands, lol! Thank you S & A for the amazing time in Houston! We love you guys and your families!!! After this wedding at the verrrrry end of December, I jumped on a flight to LAX and connected on to Sydney, Australia for my first wedding of 2013, landing on New Year’s Day 2013 in Australia! I was airborne for New Year’s Eve at the stroke of midnight, but that was a minor inconvenience for the amazingness of being to celebrate one wedding in Houston and the next one in Sydney back to back =)
