Ack! I feel so bad that I have posted a ton of weddings that I never posted this engagement session from our super-awesome couple Brandi and Bryan! That’s what I get for only going through the “wedding” folder when seeing what blog posts I am backlogged on blogging about! I actually photographed Brandi and Bryan’s engagement session in Stone Mountain Park the week before KyAnne and Brett’s wedding (which I blogged about last week) – sorry guys for writing out of order!
Another reason this blog post needs to get out the door is that their wedding is a mere 2 weeks away! Are you guys ready? When Betty and I saw these two a few weeks ago for this session Bryan was about to head out for a work trip leaving Brandi to deal with the final details as we count down the days! As Brandi buckles down and wraps things up here are some of my favorites from our session inside Stone Mountain Park.
We first explored the Antebellum Plantation which was an amazing setting for that classic Southern charm. First hitting the gardens for the above photos, then we moved over to the house itself and got these amazing shots:
Those photos were taken downstairs as we walked from the entrance and smaller houses over to the main house. The entire area is more of a walk-through museum and even though their is an admission fee, it’s neat to spend some time among the old houses and history of the site. While I’m not sure it’s really worth that high of an admission price… but if you’re a history buff you’ll enjoy it :p
After goofing around and having fun playing around the house itself we explored more of the grounds. We were going to get our money’s worth of the admission fee here! And… because I was obsessed with this tree that was in the yard.
We planned for the next part of the day’s shoot at Stone Mountain Park to take place at the covered bridge, and on the way I scouted out what seemed to be an interesting nature trail. We pulled over and headed off for a quick hike and of course to take some more photos.
After a couple quick shots here we turned around and headed back to the cars to finally make it to the covered bridge. I loved the shots we took here it just seemed a little more hiking than we were prepared for to get anywhere that was more interesting.
Ok ok we had to take some photos even on the walking path to the bridge, sorry guys but thanks for indulging me!!
Ah, the covered bridge… It’s maybe a little cliche like railroad tracks for an engagement session but that’s only because it’s cute and romantic!
And so that wraps up my long overdue blog post about Brandi and Bryan’s engagement session at Stone Mountain! With this lovely couple’s wedding only 2 weeks away that means we should have a blog post coming up hopefully in about a month or so as things in the queue finally get blogged about :). After this past weekend’s wedding I finally get a break for 2 weekends, woohoo! Well during this “break” of course I’ll be editing photos from the past couple weekends and blogging away! With this heatwave that is sweeping over Atlanta I hope everyone else is enjoying this early start to Summer! Look for more blog posts coming up soon and don’t forget last Wednesday’s blog post where we mentioned our new Military Discount we started in honor of Memorial Day!
Shoot us an email over on the website if you would like to book your own engagement session or one of our various photography collections that include a session!
