Tuesday was a “nose to the grindstone” sort of day for me, well so was Monday actually. To say that things have been busy around here would be an understatement.
I. would. not. have. it. any. other. way.

Two week’s ago was KyAnne & Brett’s wedding at Tybee Island, I was both photographer and videographer there so I wanted to at least finish the photo portion of the editing on Monday before moving ahead with the video. I posted a few sneak previews last Wednesday so I don’t want to re-post too much before their actual blog post coming soon, so check out last week’s edition of “Anything Goes Wednesday.” With the photo editing finished up on Monday that left me with video editing duties today. I’ve finished all of the getting ready shots and am ready to move ahead with the ceremony next! Luckily, the ceremony is pretty straight-forward as far as editing goes whereas I’m mixing together the bride’s side with the groom’s side to tell the story of the preparations even though I wasn’t physically in two locations at once ;). No sneak preview trailer just yet, sorry!

I do have a video I can share this week though that I put together on Saturday during wedding #1 which was Desiree and Greg in Woodstock, GA which I co-shot with Matt of Matthew Druin Photography. First the video then the description:

Desiree + Greg’s Tilted Wedding | Tilt-Shift Wedding Time-Lapse from Zac & Betty FengLong Photography on Vimeo.

This video was shot with the newest member of the FengLong family, the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II lens! I was using a 5D Mark II for the actual wedding so I set up one of our 7D’s to record this time-lapse video of Desiree and Greg’s wedding ceremony inside the church. Here is an image of Nina from this past Friday’s weekly get together shoot using the TS-E 24mm lens on the full frame 5D Mark II:

Oh and what the heck, here is a preview of Saturday’s second wedding which was covering Nishi’s Indian wedding reception at Zyka in Decatur. This shot was also taken with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II lens with the tilt function producing a horizontal blur as opposed to the vertical blur in the above shot of Nina:

Tilt-Shift Indian Wedding! Nishi's Indian Wedding Reception | Zyka Decatur | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

You may remember the couple and the location from earlier blog posts and you would be correct! We shot Nishi’s engagement reception back in March at the exact same location – Zyka! I absolutely love love Indian wedding ceremonies because they are not only colorful but also like family reunions. Everyone here was so warm and inviting, I felt truly loved to see my old friends on Saturday that I had met a couple of months ago at the engagement ceremony. So nice to see Nhu, Serena and Xee (Zena) again along with everyone else – I absolutely love my job when I’m mingling with people that I would love to call family and making amazing images in the process.

Good morning smile. :)))))
Excuse the iPhone bluriness, this was not taken with a DSLR 😉

I also love Miles and Betty :). Miles is getting so cute now that he is smiling (sort of). You can tickle him and he bursts out in these huge smiles that just melt my heart… awwwww…

With all this talk about weddings I also photographed 2 AMAZING engagement sessions, each amazing for their own reasons! Trina and Shawn I met on Wednesday in Piedmont Park after we rescheduled from last Sunday; and then this past Sunday (5/22) I met up with Rebekah and Lee for a totally different vibe doing an “urban/badass” engagement session in Downtown! That’s why I say that I have a lot more to blog about in the coming months – wedding season is here!

Trina + Shawn Engagement Session | Piedmont Park | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Sneak preview – Trina and Shawn looking absolutely amazing and dramatic on the lawn of Piedmont Park with the Midtown Atlanta skyline in the back.

Rebekah + Lee Engaged | Downtown Atlanta Urban Session | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Previewing the urban grunge of Downtown Atlanta. I can’t wait to finish this set because we got a lot of unique photos which are perfectly suited to my “badass couple” – their own descriptions and when Rebekah told me Lee holds a third degree black belt you better believe I take them seriously! 🙂

Now to get back to editing editing editing! KyAnne and Brett’s video is coming along nicely and I just finished up Trina & Shawn’s engagement photos this evening. Coming up this weekend is a Saturday wedding and then a Sunday vow renewal with the fabulous Violaine of Andre Winfrye Events!

Have a fabulous Memorial Day weekend, see you on Monday!
