Andreea & Adi's Wedding | Elim Romanian Church & Downtown Lawrenceville | Lawrenceville Wedding Photographer
Betty and I had a lot of fun at this wedding, mostly because we also got to hang out with Yoshiko all day too as our second shooter while I did video. And we also got to try to brighten Yoshiko’s day because she got rear-ended in the morning on the way to the groom’s house – argh! So yes that starts our day at the wedding of Andreea and Adi… Yoshiko getting rear-ended. Luckily, or unluckily, we drove separately to be able to meet up at different venues for the start of the day: Betty and I at Andreea’s house and Yoshiko at Adi’s place. Andreea and her girls were having so much fun on this fine Saturday morning.
Adi showed up shortly afterwards once Andreea was finished dressing and he came to meet his bride and to perform some traditional Romanian wedding details such as Andreea’s father saying a prayer and having pastries.
After everyone was settled, the wedding party piled into the limousine and we all headed to Downtown Lawrenceville for a photo shoot. Now ok maybe this wasn’t the hip “downtown” downtown you were thinking of but rather the historic district with the old courthouse which we utilized extensively. So extensively that someone from the historic courthouse told us that we were supposed to have filed a permit and paid $200 to take photos there in a public place just because we were dressed as a wedding party? Details, details… Luckily she was nice enough about it and just asked us to hurry up and finish, whew, saved again! Portrait photos by Zac whereas the majority of the photos in this post are by Betty since Zac was on video. Yoshiko’s photos can be seen on her blog, we don’t blog other photographer’s photos only our own.
After hanging out in downtown Lawrenceville for as long as we could before getting kicked out, we headed over to the nearby railroad tracks at Andreea’s request. Okay, I know train tracks can be a bit cliche… but hey we made it work and look good!
Once the photo shoot was over we finally made our way to ELIM Romanian Church for MORE photos (family formals) and for the actual ceremony to start!
Oh, this couple is sooooo not photogenic…
Betty took a photo of me in action taking these portrait photos =)
And on to more portraits! I had to borrow Yoshiko’s lens for this one so it was a total team effort with Betty also holding the flash for me =P
Back inside to get this party on the road!
Yes the sarcasm is on thick tonight as I write this blog post, here are some REAL detail photos I swear!
After the ceremony the reception filled the next door banquet hall to the brim! Not that the church itself wasn’t already packed downstairs and upstairs with friends and family to celebrate the union of Andreea and Adi.
Quick Betty break! We ran out to admire the sunset but unfortunately couldn’t drag Andreea nor Adi away =(
What a fun night! Best of all is that they sent up home with a great To-Go box (since we never got a chance to actually eat) that also included a great selection of Romanian/European pastries! Yum yum yum! Ok so maybe weddings like this with awesome food is contributing to the waist gain just a little bit… That wraps up Andreea and Adi’s wedding and we are almost to the end of blogging about 2011 weddings at the end of the year as 2012 draws ever closer. Good thing I only have to blog three more weddings, two engagement sessions, a bridal session, and all of the other little things I’ve done since this wedding like 2 lighting workshops! I know I didn’t create a wedding trailer especially fot this blog post but if you browse back to the previous blog posts with our 2011 Wedding Videography Demo Reel you can see some clips from this wedding spliced in there. Have a great week!
