Behind the Scenes Vlog 2 | Leena & Rahul Engagement Shoot in New York City

Behind the Scenes Vlog Travel Wedding

Another week, another behind the scenes vlog! As wedding season truly begins, I hope to keep continuing this as a regular feature here on the blog, YouTube, and facebook where these are posted! Just like the previous episode of the vlog, I shot this entirely on the Sony A7ii which I carried with me around the city, in addition to my 5D Mark IV that I shot most of this engagement session with :). Leena and Rahul drove up to Manhattan from Baltimore and we had a great, but chilly, Saturday running around New York City! Technically Spring has already started, right??? Well, the 40 degree and windy weather we had says otherwise but at least the rain from earlier in the week stopped in time for their photo shoot! Great couple, and I can’t wait for their Atlanta Indian wedding in just about 8 weeks now!

Here are a few photos from Saturday as well, to see how all these behind the scenes antics turned out :). And yes, as you see in the video, the sunset was really that orange in Brooklyn!!

During those hour long swims or six hour long bike rides I would visualize the race itself in my mind: “On race day, how will I be feeling if I know I just swam 2.4 miles and I’m halfway through this bike ride with a full marathon ahead of me?” This would help put me in a frame of reference to either pace myself better or fuel better – and I have to admit I think it really helped me d ...

Wedding Photography Behind the Scenes Vlog #18 | Talia & Ramnik’s Staten Island Pre-Wedding Session at Snug Harbor
This week I head over to Staten Island for Talia and Ramnik's Pre-Wedding session in the middle of a hurricane! We actually did this session in between rain bands from Hurricane Jose as it sat off the coast of New York City and dumped rain all over the region. Luckily it wasn't a real hurricane hit or anything, just rain and light wind, but that's part of the run of wedding photography, right? Also, this vlog sees the return of the trusty Sony RX100V! The past couple of vlogs I shot on either my Canon 5D Mark IV or on the Sony A7ii as the RX100 was in the repair shop for the past couple of weeks getting the circuit board replaced (sad face ...

Recent Work | Sani & Javed’s Valima at Bethak Banquet Hall
All good things must come to an end eventually, right? Well, at least this is only a preview post from Sani & Javed's Indian wedding, so there ARE more photos coming in the full wedding day blog post =). The Valima took place at Bethak Banquet Hall and was a bit of a smaller gathering compared to the large wedding days at the Jaffari Center. That doesn't mean it wasn't full of amazing and heartfelt moments though, here is just a preview... More photos to come in the full blog post!
