Now that the 2016 Year in Review blog post is done, I can get back to blogging weddings from foreeeever ago in 2016! At least this wedding was published on Maharani Weddings? And on Facebook, of course, way back over the Summer of 2016 when it actually happened :). This awesome multi-day Atlanta Ismaili Indian wedding took place down in Atlanta, Georgia at a number of different amazing Indian wedding venues for each event. Mehndi took place across the street from the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Lilburn, the Pithi and Sangeet night was over at Al-Noor Banquet Hall, with the main wedding reception being held at Sonesta Gwinnett Place. Before the mehndi night, we went across the street to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir for some quick pre-wedding photos! It was time for Mehndi night to officially kick off the Ismaili Indian wedding week events in Atlanta!

Day 2 was the Pithi and Sangeet night events at Al-Noor banquet hall! We did a lot of singing and dancing on day 1 at the mehndi night, and isn’t that supposed to be part of Sangeet? This wedding was so much fun with the high energy from both Zahra and Nazim’s families and friends! As always, a quick pre-event photo shoot in Zahra’s Pithi night outfits outside of Al-Noor at sunset before heading inside for Pithi, Egg Ceremony, and Sangeet/Garba night!

Poor Nazim! One of the fun, yet messy, Ismaili wedding traditions of egg ceremony! Always makes for fun photos, but probably not so fun to have to clean up afterwards and then return to the wedding venue for the Sangeet Garba night party in the late evening.

Day 3 of this Indian wedding featured the Nikkah ceremony at Northeast Atlanta Ismaili Jamatkhana, with post-Nikkah games like Koba Khobi before the evening reception at the Sonesta Gwinnett Place hotel. We started the day at the Sonesta Gwinnett Place where Zahra and Nazim got ready for their event and did a quick first look photo session before heading over to JK for Nikkah.

After Khoba Khobi it was back to Sonesta for another outfit change into the evening formal attire and the wedding reception!

Day 4! Satada and Rukhsati took place at the Crystal Banquet Hall on Breckenridge Blvd by Bethak Banquet hall and Chinese Dhaba (mmmmm Chinese Dhaba…). Before we could celebrate for one last day with families and close friends, we of course did a photo shoot for the day in the parking lot 🙂
