Sydney Australia Destination Indian Wedding | Natasha & Karim’s Cruise Reception on Sydney Harbour & Circular Quay
For those following along, here are the recap links to all of the previous blog posts for this mammoth Sydney Australia destination Indian wedding:

…and now to add on Day #5, the sunset cruise reception in Sydney Harbour and after hours photo shoot around Circular Quay in Sydney, Australia!
Not content to just have a “normal” reception like the previous night at a banquet hall in the city, Natasha and Karim had to turn up the uniqueness factor to 11 and hire a boat for a cruise reception at sunset around Sydney Harbour! What?!?! Probably one of the coolest reception venues that I’ve had to privilege of photographing so far. The day started out normally enough, with the standard getting ready at home in Parramatta for Natasha and Karim.

Meanwhile the ladies were cooking Natasha and Karim’s American-style wedding cake: Rice Krispies treats!

After everyone finished getting ready, we had to get everyone to Sydney Harbour to make the boat’s scheduled departure time at the port. I rode with the immediate wedding party, Best Man and Maid of Honor, which of course meant we were going to continue taking photos even in the car and having fun! On the way to get Karim changed into his suit:

Quick stop at Macca’s for some pre-wedding pick me up! Flat White coffee for me and nuggets for the bride and groom =)

Ok enough fun, time for a wedding! But first some quick adjustments in the Sydney Opera House parking garage!

And the reception kicked off as we pulled out of port!

Of course, being on a cruise ship at sunset meant we were definitely going to take some photos on the top deck! After a break in the day’s wedding program we did just that, and ran up stairs to catch the last light of sunset and that beautiful golden hour. We had pulled a bit away from Sydney itself now, but the city skyline was still visible in the distance =)

The main wedding party: Best Man Raheel with the Maid of Honor Azmina! …and the Bride and Groom of course =)

Ok back inside for the rest of the reception!!! =)

Back at port at Sydney Harbour with the Opera House in the background!

And now for the fun! After everyone had gone home, we stayed out to take photos of course! Not exactly sure of the time, midnight? Later? I know we didn’t end up back at the hotel closer to 1 or 2 am, it was a blur we were having so much fun =). To start things off for the photo shoot we stayed near the Sydney Opera House and made our way around Circular Quay.

Color or Black and White?

Behind the scenes =) I was using a tripod to take these photos obviously hehe

The “kids” or at least the younger generation who stuck around to hang out with us all night taking photos =)

We then moved to the other side of Sydney Harbour closer to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, well right underneath it technically! Beautiful spot with a great view of the Opera House.

We finally headed to the hotel, the Sheraton on the Park at Hyde Park, right in the heart of Downtown Sydney! And yeah, thanks to Raheel, they got an okay room I guess…

2:00 AM photo shoot in the hotel room!!

So much fun! And thank you thank you THANK YOU to Nabeel for driving me back to Parramatta at sunrise, yes we stayed up long enough to see the sun rise =). Needed to get a little bit of sleep before the Satada lunch the next day and charge batteries, etc. One more day of this amazing Sydney Australia Destination Indian Wedding to go!!! =)))
