On Location: Truett-McConnell College, Mercer University, Collins Hill Park

As I pack my bags for another location shooting assignment tomorrow (Wednesday), I thought I should pull through the archives from last week’s shoots. We traveled around the greater Atlanta metro area a bit with assignments in some pretty cool locations. The first shoot was at Truett-McConnell College which was up waaaaay North of Atlanta. Given the theme of the TV show we are up at all hours of the day filming workouts and various locations, why do people need to work out at the break of dawn an hour and a half away from Atlanta? =) We caught the sunrise at Truett-McConnell which meant leaving Downtown Atlanta by 4:30 AM, ugh!!

Later in the afternoon we climbed to the top of the hill at Truett-McConnell to film some interviews and I took this quick snap looking out over the North Georgia mountains. Lovely tranquil place up there.

The next morning we were filming a bootcamp workout but this time it was luckily inside the perimeter at Mercer University. Gorgeous sunrise on a rather chilly Fall morning.

Finally this past weekend we had a shoot on Saturday at a gym in Lawrenceville in the morning.

Then in the afternoon we headed to Collins Hill Park nearby where the Fall colors were still a beautiful golden brown.

That’s it for now! Just a quick look at some of the random images I took while on assignment as the set photographer for a Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) TV show currently filming on location. We have another two days this week and I get another chance to also do a bit of camera work tomorrow. Not the Director of Photography for tomorrow’s shoot yet, but soon I hope 😉
