Lindsay & Josh's Wedding | Winters Chapel United Methodist Church & Emory Conference Center Hotel | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
Another great wedding to start off a great week! 2011 was a bit weird in that the weddings we booked at the very beginning of the year ended up being the weddings we photographed at almost the very end of the season. I guess it also goes to show that the Fall wedding season here in Atlanta is probably the most popular. Heck, we already have a wedding on the books as far out as November 3rd of 2012! Anyway, on to the wedding before I get even more sidetracked! The day started at the Emory Conference Center Hotel as Betty and I arrived dodging zombies (okay we had just watched The Walking Dead and the CDC is across the street)…

After hanging with the girls on this gorgeous Fall morning we made our way up to Winters Chapel United Methodist where the ceremony would be held and also where the guys were amassed in the “man cave” aka the rec room of the church.

All the details were set and time grew near…

Lindsay looked amazing in her dress and Josh looked pretty good as well =). I loved all of the little touches that Lindsay and Josh put together for this wedding such as the Fall theme with the acorns as boutonnieres and a theme which we will see later in the reception details. Winters Chapel United Methodist was a great venue because it is so small and intimate compared to some of the larger churches around Atlanta. Not that I don’t enjoy the splendor of the bigger churches, it just gives the wedding ceremony a different vibe.

We did a quick photo shoot around the grounds of the church which had the gorgeous Fall colors at peak for their wedding.

And then it was time for the reception back at the Emory Conference Center Hotel! This is a great venue that I would love to do another wedding at, and not just because it’s not that far from where we live in downtown =). Maybe part of my love for the venue was the intricate details that Lindsay and Josh put together, it gave the entire evening that little something extra!

Since the wedding was so close to Halloween (October 29th), the couple decided to have a fun Halloween themed candy bar to acknowledge the date but blended everything together in their Fall color palette of browns, yellows, and orange throughout the day.

Coolest cake topper, ever! Right? Lindsay had this custom made from an Etsy designer in Hong Kong I think she said… Hong Kong or Japan now I’m forgetting. But I remember her telling me that it finally made it through customs from Asia just in the nick of time for the wedding. Totally worth it, super cute! More cake detail which was a delicious edible chocolate:

And this photo sums up how exhausted the bride and groom were after all of those details:

After a quick break from the festivities during cocktail hour, we got into the full reception!
