LaTasha & Gabriel's Engagement Session | Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Georgia Aquarium, Downtown | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
I feel a bit disconnected after such a busy weekend, but it’s good to be back in front of the computer! Plus, my back, legs, and waistline are all thanking me to get back to our normal routine after lugging around gear all weekend and eating some amazing food at these weddings! I’m also really thankful that the weather cooperated with us each day, some parts of Atlanta got rain with this cold front blowing through but both my Friday wedding at Primrose Cottage and then Saturday up at the Wheeler House were cloudy but dry! Sunday I had a bridal shoot and while it was super windy (and still is today), down where we were we had trees on all sides to shield us from the worst of the wind. Why talk so much about the weather though? It does have a connection with today’s blog post, LaTasha and Gabriel’s engagement session! This took place back in February when we still had a bit of icky Winter weather, so after brainstorming with LaTasha on locations we ended up at the Georgia Aquarium for the majority of the session to be able to stay indoors, but we did venture to a few other spots, most notably our first stop which was Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport!
We re-created the official proposal at the airport, and of course to the many travelers that day, no one knew if it was real or a re-enactment so we had a big round of applause =). After airport security got a little too close for comfort we took off for Downtown Atlanta and made our way to the Georgia Aquarium.
I think we hit up just about every exhibit at the Aquarium, and had a lot of fun trying to find the perfect light with the multitude of blue water and fluorescent lights around the Aquarium. I really enjoyed the challenge though of dodging all of the people at the Aquarium on a fairly busy Sunday, I think their was either a cheerleader or volleyball convention happening next door at the Georgia World Congress Center.
After finishing up our tour of the Georgia Aquarium, we took a few more engagement photos outside in Centennial Olympic Park and around Downtown Atlanta.
For the final photos around Sidebar, they changed back into their casual outfits and had a bit of fun showing off their “Team Sanderfur” t-shirts with “Coach” and “Assistant Coach” on them!
Twitter love =)
And that wraps up another fun engagement session! Three weeks to go until the wedding day at the Defoor Centre! See you guys again soon!!!
