Jessica & Phil's Wedding | Dubsdread Ballroom | Orlando Winter Park Wedding Photographer
Destination wedding time!! Well, it was a destination wedding for us living in Atlanta, but is it really a destination when we used to live in Orlando? Jessica & Phil’s wedding was more like a coming home to friends and family. If you are keen on viewing Friday night’s rehearsal dinner I split that off into a separate blog post which you can see here: Jess & Phil’s Rehearsal Dinner at the Mayor William Beardall Senior Center in Downtown Orlando.
I’m going to embed their wedding video FIRST, so if you stick around after watching their awesome wedding video (if I do say so myself), be prepared for some equally gorgeous wedding photos!
Now was that a fun wedding or what??? Let’s see what the wedding looked like as frozen moments in time… Come take a trip with us down to Orlando…

The day started off at Jess and Phil’s condo in the downtown Orlando where the bridesmaids and Bernatz family members got ready. We all had a relaxed morning while some of us recovered from the food at the rehearsal dinner. I guess not everyone has a “Filipino Stomach” to handle some of the food that was served last night, as I think Phil’s side was fine on Saturday =). After the hair and makeup were finished we all headed to the ceremony and reception venue, the Historic Dubsdread Ballroom in Winter Park, Florida!

After Jess got into her dress, they opted for a first look which we captured in their wedding video. The first look was great because that also meant everyone could take formal photos and be seen with each other before the ceremony!

The ceremony took place in the courtyard area just outside of the Historic Dubsdread Ballroom and it was an absolutely perfect Orlando afternoon! We seriously could not have asked for better weather!

As part of the Filipino tradition, a rope was placed over the newlywed couple by the parents of the bride and groom, with the final knot tied by the pastor.

My favorite words, I now pronounce you husband and wife… you may kiss your bride!

…and they snuck in one more for good measure before walking down the aisle =)

Jess planned everything so that they could both be fully present to mingle during cocktail hour. That is one of the huge advantages to a First Look and planning to take all of the formal photos early. Of course it depends on the couple but it’s always a fun option. Now, on to the reception!!

Yay our own places at the table!

After the cocktail hour was over, the DJ formally introduced the wedding party which went right into Jessica and Phil’s first dance. Now we knew this because we were privy to some inside information, but Jess and Phil had gone to dance lessons to prepare for their first dance. Betty joined me behind the camera and was my second cinematographer while we filmed the entire first dance from multiple angles:
Ok on to a few more photos!

As the reception got into full swing everyone danced the night away and had an amazing time. We had so much fun at the Dubsdread Ballroom that I seriously hope to photograph another wedding there in the near future!

Of course we still made time for the traditional activities like the bouquet toss and garter toss!

Ok we also snuck in a quick photo of ourselves with the newlyweds! Congrats to Jess and Phil!

The exit for the day was a bubbled walkway out the front of the Dubsdread Ballroom, what a great way to end the night!

Jess and Phil we love you guys! Congrats again on the marriage and we hope to see you again soon the next time we are in Orlando!!
