2011: Wedding Photography Year in Review

This year has just flown by… and I know EVERYONE says that, but when you have a baby, that phrase just becomes so much more true. I wanted to do a wrap-up blog post for the year but wasn’t sure when I should post it because we still have TWO weddings right at the end of the year! So we’ll see when this post actually goes live on the blog even though I’m writing it ahead of time. I’m almost afraid of this blog post though, because looking back at our older photos reminds me just how far I’ve come both in terms of the actual photography and post-processing the photos in Photoshop/Lightroom. For the photos in this post I’ve actually gone back and re-edited a few of them because I just don’t like the look in our older photos… not that they were “bad” by any means, I just prefer our current style of editing. That’s actually one of the coolest parts about working in the digital age, being able to go back to your old “negatives” (RAW files) and fall in love with shots all over again just by changing how you edit the photos, and finding new hidden gems that I may have missed the first time!

Whew, what a year! And that’s just the main wedding ceremonies, not counting bridal glamour sessions, engagement sessions, portrait sessions, and all of those little shoots we’ve done here and there all year. I think with this post going live before the end of the year I’m going to miss the two end-of-year wedding’s I’ve still got to do, but we’ll feature them soon! Thank you to every single one of our brides, grooms, best men, maids of honor, guests, family, friends, uncles, aunts, cousins, and everyone else we’ve met along the way this year! Here’s to an amazing 2012!!
