Zohra & Faisal | Atlanta Ismaili Wedding | New York Destination Indian Wedding Photographer
Here is another awesome wedding from this past Summer down in Atlanta! You may recognize a few photos from the epic 2015 Wedding Photography Year in Review blog post, or remember these two from their engagement session where they came up to New York to see me and we shot all around NYC from Coney Island to the Brooklyn Bridge to Times Square! Their Atlanta Ismaili wedding took place over 4 days with the traditional schedule of Mehndi, Pithi/Garba, Nikkah, and Satada. The wedding photos start off here with the mehndi night at home:

After a fun night with family and friends at home we headed to the Sante Fe Ballroom in Atlanta for the second day of wedding week events, the Pithi/Garba night! Always a super fun night with celebrations, dancing, performances, and of course the Ismaili egg ceremony.
Ah yes, the egg ceremony, poor Ismaili grooms I feel for you! And Faisal didn’t get off easy with oil, ice cream, and hot sauce (among the host of other “normal” things like syrup, chocolate, cereal, etc.) – ouch!
After getting the bride and groom cleaned up from their pithi ceremony the reception and garba night could begin!
The Nikkah event took place at Atlanta’s Ismaili HQ Center.
Watch selfie, watchie!
After refueling with some Taco Bell on the way home, we started the khoba khobi event next!
Satada had a lot of family events and food, but I had to share off some quick detail shots from the 4th day because Faisal is in the jewelry business after all!
