All good things must come to an end… but if you have some free time, click here to read up on the past events in Fort Myers, Florida and then read below on this post about the final day in Atlanta, Georgia.
We wrapped up Zainab and Farhan’s amazing wedding with the final Valima ceremony at 5th Avenue Event Hall, a place we were at earlier in the year for Amir and Nasrine’s wedding back in July. We had a brief respite in wedding day events, with the first two days occurring on December 23rd and 24th, and then the final Valima on December 28th back here in Atlanta. To start the final day of preparations, we used the Comfort Suites Suwannee hotel as the home base for the out of town family in attendance and as a location for Zainab to have her makeup done.
ANOTHER gorgeous dress chosen by Zainab’s mother:
After Zainab finished with her makeup and jewelry, we stole her downstairs to do a quick bridal photo shoot in the lobby of the hotel =). Said it before and I’ll say it again, I love problem solving at weddings! Yes, even the Comfort Suites can be beautiful if you just rearrange the furniture slightly and change your angles!
Then it was time to head back upstairs to finish Zainab’s hair, not that it doesn’t always seem to look fabulous and straight off the cover of Desh Videsh. I just love the next photo on the right after Farhan had joined us up in the hotel room. Zena was on the phone and I have no idea what Farhan was doing, I think just fixing his suit collar that happened to be in the perfect pose…
Everyone then rendezvous up in Buford at the 5th Avenue Event Hall near the Mall of Georgia. Luckily we were after Christmas at this point so no crazy holiday traffic =). Once we all arrived, Zainab headed to the “bridal suite” to wait while guests arrived. We took this time to make some portraits of course but not before energizing the bride with a little Sugar Free Red Bull for a full night of partying ahead!
Contrast? Ok, a few detail shots here and there in between portraits of the lovel set up!
Love the custom cake topper!
Ceremony in full swing with speeches by both families for all of the Atlanta friends and family in attendance.
Cake cutting today too, nom nom nom! I’ll say it again, love the cake topper! That’s the first time I had seen one like this and the fact that the colors matched Zainab’s dress was just too perfect!
And finally, the dance floor was opened up! As much fun as everyone was having, I think we had some hardcore dancers in the group that couldn’t stand not being able to dance at the first two day’s events because they sure cut loose on Day 3! Zainab and Farhan are really surrounded by an amazing group of people =)

A little more dancing never hurt anyone!
Whew! What a night! To wrap things up I only made them suffer through about 10 minutes of final portraits on the stage of just the newlywed bride and groom.
Woohoo! Three days of incredible events! Thank you most of all to the Bride, Groom, Their Families, and Friends for the exciting evening and welcoming us as part of the family. We had an amazing time for all three days and were honored to be a small part of the celebration. And in Apple fashion… one more thing, the wedding video trailer for Day 3!
