It was a rainy December weekend in Dallas/Plano for Zahra & Karim’s Ismaili wedding at the Sheraton McKinney and other locations throughout the greater Dallas area. Looking back at 2018, this was the first Ismaili wedding of the year for me??? Some years past I’ve done what felt like 99% Ismaili weddings, so it was nice to get back in the swing of things with some of the unique ceremonies that you don’t see exactly the same in other South Asian weddings like Pithi, Egg Ceremony, Koba Khobi, etc.
Super fun weekend and because I was reaching for that Delta status at the end of the year, I did a connecting flight through Atlanta from New York, so even though the wedding this weekend wasn’t in Atlanta, I did step foot in Atlanta at the airport at least 🙂
