Zahra + Faizan | New York City Engagement | NYC Muslim Ismaili Wedding Photography
Zahra and Faizan made the trip up from Atlanta to New York City a couple weeks ago for their engagement session (and also to hang out with me I think, lol!) and we had a great, albeit rainy, Saturday in the city! We started their destination engagement session in Central Park while we had some clouds and no rain, after meeting up with them on their hotel on 5th Avenue.
Walking a little further into Central Park we were on the lookout for more greenery since we were in the Park after all, but still showcasing a little bit of that New York City feel of tall buildings.
On to the Bethesda Fountain, always a super popular spot any time of day and especially on a weekend!
A quick stroll outside of the park lead us to try to incorporate some of the architecture from the MET, which I ended up trying to find them a peaceful corner in the hordes of tourists and locals taking advantage of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on a rainy weekend.
After an amazing lunch break at a little place on the Upper East Side, the drizzle had started so we did our outfit change and headed through Grand Central Terminal on our way to the Brooklyn Bridge.
Rain was in full effect by now and I have to give major props to Zahra for hiking the bridge in her heavy dress, heels, and the pouring rain.
Everyone loves a New York City Indian Wedding! Obliging the tourists to take a photo of these crazy people taking pictures on the Brooklyn Bridge in the pouring rain!
Thanks for making the trip up here to NYC! Looking forward to the full Ismaili Wedding festivities in a few short weeks!
