Summer Vacation | China Trip 2015 Days 10 & 11 | Wuyi University & Train & Shanghai
Days 10 and 11 of our Summer vacation to China sort of blended together with one day being a travel day, so they’re blended together with this vacation photos blog post! As we were exploring parts of Fujian and Wuyi we went to visit Wuyi University which has a gorgeous and large campus out in the countryside of Wuyishan. After spending the morning/afternoon around the university and visiting Betty’s family they dropped us off at the Wuyi rail station where we took the evening train over to Shanghai. Here are some of the sights from Wuyi University and Shanghai!
Had Betty stand in for scale to just how big some of these buildings at Wuyi University are.
Since it was Summer break for the University the campus was mostly empty other than a few international students.
Classrooms at Wuyi University
The sports arena at Wuyi, really huge! I can’t imagine what the campus is like full of students during the school year.
Boarding the train at Wuyi rail station heading to Shanghai.
I think this was just a random station in between Wuyi and Shanghai that I got out to take photos of during a stop to stretch my legs.
Arriving at Shanghai Rail Station finally!
Shanghai the next morning from our hotel room.
Taking Miles out walking down the shopping street in Shanghai.
Downtown Shanghai was bustling
Sculptures in the park in the center of Shanghai.
Of course we had to stop at the park/carnival thing that is in the center of Shanghai for the kids to give Miles a break from the sightseeing. He really loved this ride which lets kids drive construction equipment.
Miles using his construction equipment to just dig dig dig…
Super happy with a break from sightseeing to just play!
Enjoying some of the carnival rides.
Ok back to sightseeing around Shanghai!
No I don’t want to buy your fake goods…
This guy was also getting up in our face trying to see counterfeit goods… so I took more photos of him of course…
Riding the sightseeing trolly!
Downtown Shanghai at night!
I <3 Shanghai at the Giordano store
Street night market scenes outside of the main commercial strip. These were sprinkled here and there throughout the city with locals hanging out and grabbing a bite to eat after work with street food.
Of course I had to walk to the Bund to take photos of the riverside at night!
Another night photo from The Bund, so pretty at night!
And that concludes Days 10 and 11 of our China trip, just a few more to go before it was back to the USA for more weddings 🙂
