Summer Vacation | China Trip 2015 Day 7 | Wuyi Rafting & Hiking Heaven-Traveling Peak
Day 7 of our China adventure kept us in the Wuyi mountains of Fujian province, this time starting off with some rafting in the morning before things got too hot and then MORE hiking after lunch! We braved “Heaven-Traveling Peak” which is touted as the No. 1 scenic spot in Wuyi, beautiful view – way too many steps to climb!
Riverside raft launching
Miles looking cool in his sunglasses and Thomas hat as we depart on our raft.
Our “captain” pulled over and gave us some shore time to explore a little outcropping – but I think it was more for them to have a smoke break, lol!
Miles got to stand up on the front of the boat for a photo with the famous mountain peak in the background.

Safely back on shore down river!
After lunch we started our hike!
This is the view from the first landing.
Reminded us of Horseshoe Bend in the American West! It’s almost like the Colorado River… almost…
About to make that trek up those stairs behind us to the green spot on the veeeery top!
Those tiny stairs so far away are what we just climbed up, the little pavilion is where we took the first set of pictures from before these.
Really getting up there now!
We made it! Random selfie sticks EVERYWHERE in China 🙂
When we were done we swung by “A Thread of Sky” a super narrow canyon…
…yeah I didn’t fit 🙂 Well, they said I could but I sort of gave up, wayyyy too narrow for me to be doing this in China 🙂
