Serena Fashion Shoot | Off-Camera Flash Workshop in Piedmont Park | Atlanta Fashion Photographer
This post seems like ages ago and even Anna and Annika blogged about it ages ago, sigh. More to the point, a while back the girls and I kicked around the idea of doing a sort of personal workshop about some photography techniques like off camera flash. Libelle Photography are already a dynamic duo that creates beautiful wedding images but that’s the thing about photography in general is that their is always more to learn. I was game for teaching as much as I could and I asked the lovely Serena to be our model for the evening. We opted to shoot at Piedmont Park for the nice open space that the four of us could work in, and while we didn’t get a crazy sunset like we hoped for we still got some amazing images for Serena… oh, and I hope I taught Anna and Annika something they didn’t already know =)

Not a whole lot of images myself because of course I was teaching more than shooting. These few images are what I captured while explaining a concept or talking about lighting set ups. We worked with a few light modifiers from shoot through umbrellas to softboxes to bare speedlight flashes. After the sun went down we really tried to push our limits by shooting in pitch darkness at the ative oval at Piedmont Park. I loved the results =)

So that’s about it unfortunately! More teaching than shooting, the way it should be. If you would like me to do some personal one-on-one mentoring and teaching about anything from wedding photography to editing techniques to flash techniques drop me an email to Zac@FengLongPhoto.com and we can go from there!
