Maggie & Michael's Destination Wedding | Lioncrest at the Biltmore Estate | Asheville North Carolina Wedding Photographer
Happy Monday! Time for another awesome wedding from this year’s jam-packed Memorial Day Weekend! Saturday we were in Midtown Atlanta and Decatur for Brittany & Jarrett, and then the following day we set the alarm bright and early for 4:00 AM and hit the road to arrive in Asheville, North Carolina to start the day with Maggie & Michael’s destination wedding at the fabulous Biltmore Estate! After arriving early morning in Asheville and dropping my Mom and Miles off at the hotel, Betty and I headed to downtown Asheville to meet up with the girls at Ananda Hair Salon. I think I was already running on at least one Red Bull and some coffee at this point, and it was nice to get things rolling in a relatively quiet manner with the Sunday atmosphere at the hair salon.

Meanwhile, the boys were at the Residence Inn getting ready. Betty split off to shoot the guys and I stuck with the girls, with the plan to meet back up at the Biltmore for a first look.

Ok, back to my shots with the girls! =) Here are Maggie’s Jimmy Choo wedding shoes…

Ok we can alternate with Betty’s shots of the guys in the garden area of the Biltmore Estate that were happening at this exact same time…

Betty and the groomsmen actually ran into my Mom and Miles who were exploring the Biltmore gardens at the same time, and helped Miles get his stroller upstairs

Eventually Maggie, the girls, and I headed to rendezvous with the boys at the Biltmore

We then headed back to the Lioncrest event hall on another section of the Biltmore property where the wedding ceremony and reception would be held. I took a few more sets of the girls who didn’t get a chance to take bride and bridesmaids photos before the first look.

Here is some “behind the scenes” that I thought I would include in this post, it takes a few outtakes and a lot of laughts before can get that serious edgy pose that I was going for =)

Ceremony Time!

For the reception, we took a giant group photo of everyone present during cocktail hour. The nice thing about destination weddings are that they tend to be smaller, more intimate affairs because of the travel involved. The good part is that everyone fit into the photo if I went up to this balcony.

For the reception, the wedding party danced their way in, and in a variety of dance styles!

…Introducting the bride and groom!

During the reception we snuck out the bride and groom for a quick photo session to be used on their thank you cards.

The remainder of the reception at the beautiful Lioncrest was a fun filled evening of laughing, celebrating, and dancing

Thank you Maggie and Michael for choosing us to be your destination wedding photographers! We had a BLAST at your wedding!
