DragonCon 25th Anniversary Parade 2011 | Dragon*Con 2011
Before our wedding shoot on Saturday afternoon, I walked down Peachtree Street to check out the annual Dragon*Con Parade that runs through the heart of downtown Atlanta. One of the advantages of being a wedding photographer who lives just a few blocks from Woodruff Park and Centennial Park is the easy access to all of the great photographic opportunities in Atlanta! This year definitely seemed more crowded than last year’s DragonCon Parade, so it was hard to get a great spot to take pictures from without people in front of you checking out all of the amazing costumes as well. Here are the shots that I was able to get, my favorite photos from the 2011 Dragon*Con Parade on Peachtree Street.

Who doesn’t love Nyan Cat??? Always funny to see an internet meme represented at the DragonCon Parade.

And of course every Dragon Con parade ends with a huge display of Star Wars costumes from Storm Troopers to Mandalorians (Boba Fett) to everything in between… even Chewbacca!
“Everything in between” also includes Darth Vader in a tuxedo apparently.
And that wraps up the always amazing DragonCon parade for 2011! We had so much fun and then immediately headed over to our wedding which started at 12:00 PM! Busy day for event photography and wedding photography but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
