Anything Goes Wednesday | The Thursday Edition on Craft Beers

Yes, this is the Wednesday edition of the blog on a Thursday because it’s been just another week that has flown by faster than you can say “wedding!” Earlier in the week I was finishing up Rita & Andre’s wedding which got mailed to the lucky couple today via FedEx.

So besides wrapping up their wedding, what have I done for it to be Thursday??? The world will never know. Well, maybe Miles will know because we’ve been holding him nonstop. We took him to the doctor on Monday because he had a rash that kept getting worse and worse. Look at this poor little guy, this was taken by our iPhone at the doctor’s office 🙁

The rest of the week was editing photos, creating a slideshow, and wrapping up everything for Rita and Andre. Well during this time I tried some new brews from Sierra Nevada, who happen to be one of my favorite breweries. Living in Atlanta I’m somewhat partial to our local beers such as Sweetwater and Red Brick, but there’s just something about Sierra Nevada. I love their Torpedo for a super-hoppy beer and this week while in Publix I grabbed a six-pack of of Kellerweis.

I usually love IPA’s for their hoppiness and Ales (such as Laughing Skull) for their smooth taste, but this is a Hefeweizen which is a German style wheat ale that is nice and light, with some interesting flavors such as a hint of bananas… yes, bananas. I highly recommend giving this one a try if you like something like and smooth, it’s such a difference from the hoppiness that Sierra Nevada is known for.

To wrap up the post, here are my top 5 craft beers that immediately come to mind. Now I’m not a super connisour since we don’t get out much any more so a lot of these are local Atlanta beers but I’m curious, what are your favorites? Any recommendations for easily available brews to try???
