2013 Wedding Photography Year In Review
Wow, what a year! Just when you thought 2012 was crazy with nonstop weddings, 2013 decided to take it one step further! I rang in the New Year last year over the Pacific flying direct from Dallas, Texas where we covered a Valima to Sydney, Australia to cover the next wedding on January 1st. What started there ended just last Sunday on December 29th with our final wedding of the year =). All in all we covered 31 different weddings, with total coverage of 51 days of wedding activities! While we did 6 fewer weddings than 2012, we did waaaaay more multiple day South Asian weddings which kept us even more busy!
It was really hard to choose photos for this blog post, because yeah we shot A LOT this year. How many I wondered? Let’s head to Lightroom and compare by metadata…

Oh, only 150,000 photos… One hundred and fifty T-H-O-U-S-A-N-D photos…
Here are a handful… well, more like a truckload… of some of the favorite photos of the year!

What an amazing year!!! Starting the year off in Sydney, Australia and ending the year back home here in Atlanta =). The majority of our weddings were South Asian weddings doing a number of Indian, Pakistani, and Bengali weddings here in Atlanta including both Mulsim wedding and Hindu weddings. Of course that doesn’t detract one bit from our American weddings where we photographed and beautiful wedding venues both American weddings and a number of Asian weddings including Chinese, Vietnamese and Cambodian weddings. A couple of years ago I don’t think I would have predicted myself, a white guy and his Chinese wife, would be shooting such a multicultural diverse group of weddings =). I absolutely love it and can’t wait to see what 2014 holds! We already have a large number of weddings on the books here in Atlanta and so far as far away as New York City. Let’s see what the future holds! Betty and I want to sincerely thank everyone reading this for their love and support throughout this year and all previous years as we try to juggle Betty’s school, raising our energetic 2-year old son Miles, and creating these amazing memories each weekend for our wonderful brides and grooms.
Even with writing up this blog post and digging through a mountains of photos to pick just a few, I also put together a quick video with highlight clips taken throughout the year. This is actually the beginning of some sort of promo video, but with a mountain of editing in front of me from the super busy Winter season it might not ready until the Spring =). Enjoy this quick video look back at us behind the scenes at weddings in 2013!
Happy 2014! Stick around for much more to come!
