Summer Vacation | China Trip Day 13 | The Bund Shanghai

China Travel

The final day of these China Vacation blog posts! I can finally get back to weddings so that you don’t have to scroll so far in the blog to see actual New York and Atlanta Indian weddings :). Day 13 was our final day before heading home to New York from Shanghai, and we wanted to take Miles to the Bund since I had pretty much gone by myself each time and it was always at night when Miles should be sleeping. Crowds were still there during the day, and the couples taking wedding photos were still there of course!

Yep more brides, that’s not the same bride as before just another red dress :). White wedding gowns or red wedding gowns seem to be all the rage for your Shanghai pre-wedding shoot.

Manhattanhenge 2016 Times Square NYC
Manhattanhenge 2016 in Times Square, New York City
This year's second Manhattanhenge took place last night, July 11th, and I was actually in town not traveling for a wedding like the first time it happened this year! I happened to also have a quick meeting with a bride in New York City yesterday for her upcoming destination Indian wedding, so it worked out perfectly to hang around NYC for a few extra hours to catch the sunset! With the sunset only lasting a few minutes, I didn't have enough time to walk to a second location in the city like 34th street, which also seemed like it would produce a pretty cool photo based on some quick location scouting earlier in the day due to it bei ...

Travel | Tokyo, Japan Day 1 – Ikebukuro, Akihabara, Shibuya
After photographing in Sydney, Australia for a little over a week with both a destination Indian wedding and a couple days of personal travel, I took a few more days to travel for myself and ended up in Tokyo, Japan. I hadn't been to Japan since college and have always wanted to go back, so this was a perfect opportunity since I was on the other side of the world already =). I came back with tons and tons of photos, time lapses, and videos... with no real idea how I could possibly organize them and present them to the world! I think the video will come separately, and for now I will try to present everything I did each day as a way to share w ...

Central Park New York City with the Sony A7R
I know I just posted some photos from Fall in New York City but again here are some more from Thanksgiving! My Mom came up from Florida to visit with the family so we had to take her around the city of course to see some of the sights. That's one thing I really love about the Sony A7R, such a small camera to take around the city and it produces such gorgeous photos. For this trip we went around Central Park for a bit before heading down to Chinatown and Little Italy for some dessert and then up to Times Square for some late night city lights. Enjoy a few photos form New York City in the Fall! I can't wait for things to start warming up around ...
