Summer Vacation | China Trip 2015 Day 12 | Jingan Temple & The Bund Shanghai

China Travel

Day 12 was our second day in Shanghai for our China Vacation 2015, and we explored some of the more touristy things that the city has to offer, but of course I did go back to The Bund in the evening to check out more of the famous skyline views! Another day putting the Sony A7ii to the test as a travel camera!

Of course writing this I totally forget the name, but this was another temple in Shanghai that I was able to get taking a tourist sightseeing bus :)

The famous singles market in Shanghai! Parents come here to meet other parents and try to play matchhmaker. On the front of the umbrellas are their kid’s qualifications :)

Jumping on the Big Bus Shanghai I took the option to go to the top of the Jing Mao building where I attempted to catch a sunset. With the fog and smog today I didn’t really see the sun and the view was rather cloudy, but it still was an amazing view!

Summer Vacation | China Trip 2015 Days 10 & 11 | Wuyi University & Train & Shanghai
Days 10 and 11 of our Summer vacation to China sort of blended together with one day being a travel day, so they're blended together with this vacation photos blog post! As we were exploring parts of Fujian and Wuyi we went to visit Wuyi University which has a gorgeous and large campus out in the countryside of Wuyishan. After spending the morning/afternoon around the university and visiting Betty's family they dropped us off at the Wuyi rail station where we took the evening train over to Shanghai. Here are some of the sights from Wuyi University and Shanghai! Had Betty stand in for scale to just how big some of these buildings at ...

New Website Launch! | Free Facebook Timeline Cover Photos
Our new website finally launched, woohoo! In between editing these wedding videos (Sorry Yusra & Rahil, Reesha & Neil!) I've been trying to get our new website finally up and running. On top of that our previous website hosting provider's contract is up in a month so that was the perfect motivation to get things running and switch website designs and hosting. While the website is about 90% complete, that's good enough to launch for me! I'm just missing a few galleries here and there as I rebuild the content from our previous wedding photography portfolio. So, why the need to change? If it's not broke, don't fix it... right? Well, our ...

California Dreaming – California Travel Photographer
This is a bit of a personal post today, so sit back for a quick self-reflection and some of my favorite images from the California Coastline. I had been putting this off for some time but finally got around to going though our old photos from California 2009. After our trip in August 2009 we put a few photos up for sale as postcards on Zazzle, and surprisingly they started selling! I knew we wouldn't get rich quick off of Zazzle (I think we make $0.01 per sale) but it was a nice validation that other people out there enjoyed our early photography as much as we enjoyed shooting it. While I think our editing techniques were okay back then, ...
