Summer Vacation | China Trip 2015 Day 12 | Jingan Temple & The Bund Shanghai

China Travel

Day 12 was our second day in Shanghai for our China Vacation 2015, and we explored some of the more touristy things that the city has to offer, but of course I did go back to The Bund in the evening to check out more of the famous skyline views! Another day putting the Sony A7ii to the test as a travel camera!

Of course writing this I totally forget the name, but this was another temple in Shanghai that I was able to get taking a tourist sightseeing bus :)

The famous singles market in Shanghai! Parents come here to meet other parents and try to play matchhmaker. On the front of the umbrellas are their kid’s qualifications :)

Jumping on the Big Bus Shanghai I took the option to go to the top of the Jing Mao building where I attempted to catch a sunset. With the fog and smog today I didn’t really see the sun and the view was rather cloudy, but it still was an amazing view!

Using a DSLR for HD Video Part 1: Shooting
Using a DSLR for HD Video Part 1: Shooting After my second attempt to put together a video, I thought I would share some tips and learning from the process. First, please take a look at this video, which was my first foray into HD DSLR video using the Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 7D: Babylon of the Orient from Zac & Betty FengLong Photography on Vimeo. One caveat, this is not my first edit of course! It took a lot of trial and error to get this one looking like it does above in the cutting room floor of Adobe Premiere Pro. However, I will speak about what works and what didn’t work as far as shooting the actual footage. This video will ...

2013 Travel Photography Year in Review
In the attempt to write some new content on the blog while I'm in the middle of editing a million weddings - here are some travel photos from 2013! Looking back, some of these I never blogged before for whatever reason, probably too busy shooting weddings of course :). I started 2013 off in Sydney, Australia for Natasha and Karim's wedding on January 1st, and then stopped by Tokyo and Saitama, Japan on the way back to shoot some time-lapse. In July Betty and I traveled to Istanbul, Turkey so that she could attend a professional conference. In Turkey we stayed after the conference for a few days and traveled to central Turkey to see the Cappad ...

Beijing Day 4: Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City
Day 4 – our final day in Beijing – meant seeing what EVERYONE has to see when they visit: Tian An Men Square and the Forbidden City. Did we save the best for last? I’ll leave that up to you as you review these photos and the ones in our previous Beijing travel photography posts: Day 1 & 2 – Temple of Heaven & Great Wall or Day 3 – Summer Palace & Winter Palace. Tian An Men Square, the People’s Square, is just that: full of people!! Now I though we saw a lot of domestic Chinese tourists at the other historic sites we visited, that was nothing compared to Tinanmen Square and the Mao Zedong mausoleum. We saw the typical histori ...
