Recent Work | Justin & Nnete’s Surprise Proposal & Engagement | Piedmont Park | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Engagement

This session was SO MUCH FUN, and yes I know I say that about almost every session. What can I say, I love what I do creating beautiful photographs and memories for couples =). Justin used to work under me as another manager back in my time with Marriott hotels, and he has since transferred to a new hotel in Washington DC. We still keep in touch and we started chatting about a possible upcoming proposal to his girlfriend. After tossing around some ideas over email, he would be back in Atlanta one weekend and we set up the perfect scenario. I would be shooting some “practice” photos for them around Piedmont Park, and then when the time was right he would get down on one knee and do the proposal as a surprise – with me there to capture the moment of course. Well, it went off without a hitch and Nnete had NO idea what was about to happen later that cold February evening. Here are a few previews, full blog post coming in a few short weeks =).

Downtown St. Petersburg Engagement Session
We had the opportunity to shoot my sister Adelle and her fiance, Joe this past weekend back in my home town of St. Petersburg. Joe proposed during a carriage ride in downtown and they are going to be holding their wedding at the History Museum also located downtown, so naturally we headed back downtown for an engagement shoot. Shooting family is easy because you already know the people you are shooting. Shooting family is difficult because you already know the people you are shooting. Yeah it's a little weird to say to your future brother-in-law to kiss your sister repeatedly in front of you, but we all eventually loosened up a bit. We star ...

Recent Work | Kanwal & Ali Engagement | Downtown Atlanta | Atlanta Indian Ismaili Engagement Photography
Ok, I'm having a bad habit of splitting up these blog posts lately apparently! Well, we did have the intentions to get most of the photos we wanted on this first outing... but Kanwal and Ali had another great idea for their engagement shoot that would definitely take a separate day because it might get messy =). For this first outing, they were looking for a unique place but with a bit of a grunge/fashion/city feel and I had seen this "Bridge to Nowhere" ages ago on Flickr in my explorations of UrbEx groups (URBan EXploration - abandoned buildings and such). Other than a little sketchiness at first, the location wasn't bad at all, I'll write ...
