New York City from 10,000 Feet

Life

Last week I was flying back from an engagement session in Atlanta, and got the window seat for a change because it was a short term booking of the ticket! Usually I prefer the aisle seat to work during the flight and get some photo editing done since that 15″ Macbook takes up the entire economy seat on a Delta plane =). Even though we live in New York I am basically an Indian wedding photographer based out of both Atlanta and New York and have been spending much more time on planes commuting between the two cities which are at least Delta hubs. The nice quiet flight is a good solid hour and a half I can just sit in a seat and at least organize photos from the current weekend’s trip whether it was down for an engagement session or the full weekend Indian wedding. Here are a few photos from the return flight out of Atlanta to LaGuardia, we flew over Manhattan a bit on the descent so got an awesome view of the city lit up at night.

Winter Storm Jonas Hits New York! Blizzard of 2016 with Sony A7ii

With the high winds during the blizzard we saw snow drifts in the 3 foot range, almost to the top of our fence! During the blizzard on Saturday afternoon we headed out into the backyard for some fun in the snow, as Miles was super excited to finally see snow since this Christmas was so unseasonably warm in New York! I took the Sony A7ii (which I often use as a second camera for wedding photography) for these snow shots, and to put it's weather sealing to the test in the New ...

Atlanta Streets Alive 2013
We had a pretty amazing weekend, so I wanted to write up a quick blog post to share some photos from Sunday! On Saturday I had a wedding over at Flint Hill in Norcross which went on flawlessly even with the threat of rain all day. Well, the rain decided to come on Sunday and postponed a bridal session I was supposed to be shooting. Instead, we were able to sneak over to Atlanta Streets Alive for a bit longer than we were initially planning to (because I would have to leave early for the bridal shoot). The rain gave us a break here in downtown around 3pm, and we were able to enjoy a completely empty Peachtree Street for three full hours. It di ...
