New York City from 10,000 Feet

Life

Last week I was flying back from an engagement session in Atlanta, and got the window seat for a change because it was a short term booking of the ticket! Usually I prefer the aisle seat to work during the flight and get some photo editing done since that 15″ Macbook takes up the entire economy seat on a Delta plane =). Even though we live in New York I am basically an Indian wedding photographer based out of both Atlanta and New York and have been spending much more time on planes commuting between the two cities which are at least Delta hubs. The nice quiet flight is a good solid hour and a half I can just sit in a seat and at least organize photos from the current weekend’s trip whether it was down for an engagement session or the full weekend Indian wedding. Here are a few photos from the return flight out of Atlanta to LaGuardia, we flew over Manhattan a bit on the descent so got an awesome view of the city lit up at night.

2010 Atlanta Worldwide Photowalk – Event Photographer in Atlanta
This past Saturday, July 24th was Scott Kelby’s 3rd Annual Worldwide Photowalk which Betty and I participated in in downtown Atlanta! We first signed up for the Orlando walk which was organized to walk through downtown Sanford when sign-ups were first opened. Since our move to Atlanta, of course the Atlanta walk was already maxed out at 50 walkers. Luckily for us the person leading the walk was also the head of the Southeastern Photographic Society, which we had just joined! After shooting Ken a quick email, he gave us the go-ahead to tag along as unofficial walkers J. Packing only one lens each, we headed out at 8:45am down to Centennial Oly ...

Thanksgiving 2010: Very Thankful This Year
What Are You Thankful For This Year? This was our second Thanksgiving together, and oddly our second Thanksgiving in Atlanta! Last year at this time we drove up from Orlando to visit my Aunt Mattie and Uncle Rob at their house in Fairburn, GA. While we talked about the possibility of moving to Atlanta because Betty was applying for the PhD program at Georgia State, we did not know if it would actually happen of course. Aunt Mattie loves to cook and have a huge family dinner, so she invited us up to spend Thanksgiving with her and her kids, my cousins Greg and Becky. I remember it being SO COLD last year in Atlanta!! Coming from sunny Orlando ...

Personal | Atlanta Streets Alive April 2014 in the West End
This past weekend, after a full day Hindu Indian wedding on Saturday, we headed over to the West End on Sunday for the latest iteration of Atlanta Streets Alive! Conveniently located right off the MARTA station, we jumped on our local downtown train and headed 2 stops to the West End to let Miles roam the streets in peace. Betty's Mom is also here from China for a few weeks so it was a great chance for her to get out of the house and see some other parts of Atlanta besides the downtown area! Perfect Atlanta Spring weather meant this was an amazing event, can't wait for the next one in May! ...
