Farmin & Alex | Chattahoochee River & Downtown Atlanta Engagement Session

Farmin and Alex came over to Atlanta from Birmingham, Alabama for the day to shoot their engagement session somewhere off the beaten path. A lot of couples choose iconic Atlanta locations like Piedmont Park for the meaning it has to them as a date spot, memories from events there, or just the general city vibe in the park with the views of Midtown from the green areas. We tried to think outside the box a bit and headed to the Chattahoochee River at sunset and were met with an awesome Summer light show right after the pouring rain stopped as we sat in our cars in the parking lot. After catching the sunset along the river, we headed into downtown for a more urban city vibe to contrast the natural locations earlier and wandered the streets a bit.

We still ended up shooting some iconic cityscapes of Atlanta from the Jackson Street Bridge, which is everyone’s favorite spot for the downtown Atlanta skyline, especially at night.

Piedmont Park Engagement Session | N & K
On a brisk, but rather warm January evening, I headed out to Piedmont Park with N & K for their engagement session! I love a Piedmont Park engagement session because each season the park takes on a new character, and an engagement session here in the Winter has a much different feel from a Summer or Spring session. It also helped that on this day it wasn't TOO cold, I think we had colder weather just a few weeks ago in March this year! N & K met up with me over on the new side of the park by the Legacy Fountain, which of course was turned off for the Winter, argh! We still had a great time making a loop around the Park and stopping at ...
