Alicia & Joe's Wedding | The Wheeler House | Ball Ground Canton Wedding Photographer
Happy Monday! This post is coming mid-day on Monday as I was spending the weekend wrapping up editing a wedding (of course), with a few more in the editing queue. I did finish the next one though so look for a sneak peek at Ashley and Gaurav this week as I mail them their photos. On to today’s full real wedding feature, Alicia and Joe at the Wheeler House in Ball Ground, Georgia. Really fun wedding with great friends and family in attendance at a new wedding venue in the North Georgia area near Canton. I’m always amazed whenever we do weddings outside of the city as to how beautiful the Georgia countryside is, especially up North. I just love the rolling hills and winding roads in the mountains, a nice change from the hustle and urban jungle of Atlanta… though I still think I will always be a city boy at heart =). We had a beautiful day for a wedding, the clouds and stormy weather looked ominous in the morning and we had rain the night before, but the rain held off throughout the day and other than a little humidity and cloud cover we had wonderful temperatures. Good thing since this was an outdoor reception =).
The girls got ready at the Wheeler House before heading to the church for the ceremony and final touches.
The boys… this pose will make more sense later when I took some portraits of the bridal party after the wedding.
Ok, back to the girls and everyone else arriving and preparing at the church!
Then the ceremony began! Lovely service in the small wooden church, I felt like I was in another world =)
These are all the bride and groom’s ideas =P
Then we headed back to the Wheeler House where the reception was getting into full swing!

Everyone else was smiling!
First Dance as husband and wife
Father/Daughter Dance
Had to include a bunch of these two since they were so funny, everyone loved seeing Dad dance with his little girl. The party kept going all evening long with some great food, I can still remember those appetizers, YUM!
Cool lopsided cake design, along with “Cake Pops” I guess they are called? Really cool idea, it’s like a push pop but with cake and frosting inside. Super convenient way to grab a piece of cake on the go without having to worry about plates and silverware.
Garter Removal
Groom showing some love to the gentleman who caught the garter, no pressure!
Bouquet toss
Ok, towards the end of the party things got a little crazy with the boys attempting to “kill the keg” – so naturally, all of the groomsmen and a few other guests decided to do keg stands at the wedding =P Entertaining and great, unique photos at least. True love, husband and wife =) These photos are all tongue-in-cheek, we all had a great time laughing at the whole thing
Once the keg stands were over things wrapped up and the bride and groom headed off. Thank you friends, family, and of course the wedding party for a great time! Also, thanks to Lindsay for assisting and being my second shooter. While all of these are my images, you can find her angles over on her site here.
